Chaotic Creations
I am a mess.
Not in the interesting way. In the fourteen-open-tabs, grocery-list-in-the-strategy-deck way.
My Facebook feed once told me it's because I think too fast and my hands can't keep up. I never fact-checked that. Liked how it sounded.
01 creative chaos
Ideas show up like uninvited guests. All at once, talking over each other, none of them waiting for me to finish the thought I'm already on.
The ending arrives while I'm writing the opening. The hook for page three interrupts page one.
02
I used to fight it. Find the one hero idea, the one line, and build everything around it.
Then I started taking ten random thoughts and organizing them into the output instead. By the time I'm done placing everything, the idea I was most confident in often isn't the centre anymore. The architecture reveals a simpler umbrella.
03
So now I just capture. Everything goes in raw.
A competitor's tagline. A communication stance from a meeting I wasn't supposed to be in. A visual from a reel. A single line of copy buried in a 40-page brief that nobody noticed was the hero idea.
The page looks like someone ransacked it. That's the process working.
04
Then a shape starts to form.
Not a plan. An architecture. Something I can start placing things inside. You have to throw enough at the wall before the wall starts talking back.
05
A throwaway line from a brief turns out to be the campaign line. Three references collapse into one communication space.
A hub idea absorbs four hygiene ideas and becomes the hero.
And some I have to kill. Sharp ideas. They just don't belong in this deliverable. With pain in heart, they go.
06
Then I make a rhythm out of it.
Short here.
Long there.
Breathe.
Hit.
The mess becomes a beat someone else can follow without knowing what it looked like ten drafts ago.
07
A tagline that took 200 options.
A campaign deck where the hero idea started as a sticky note.
A content calendar built on buckets that actually mean something.
A brand strategy where the communication stance shifted three times before it clicked.
Now I'm transitioning into product marketing. Positioning narratives. GTM stories. Different language, same chaos underneath.
08
Basquiat kept notebooks. Anatomy sketches, poetry fragments, street observations. Sampled from them onto canvas the way a DJ samples breaks. Bebop rhythms over pop culture.
Said each line means something. Looked like chaos. Every mark was placed.
This process, done infinitely better than I'll ever manage.
09
I think like a mess.
I ship like a system.
Not despite the mess.
Because of it.
